Happy New Year to you all!!!
A large, heavy 'romanesque-style' shaped Kralik vase with amber handles in a decor that is closely associated with a similar pattern seen on Welz pieces, or at least associated with. This however is most definitely a Kralik shape. It is a substantial piece, heavy with unusually thick glass and has a nicely polished pontil. It stands approximately 10.5" in height and is approx 9" in diametre.
Beautiful piece. Congratulations.
Hi Phil, how unusual, I love it!..:-)
Glad you like it larksel!
Hi Penny - again...so happy you like it.
Phil! You find such great glass pieces!! I’m always envious! I’m coming round for ‘how to’ lessons as well as the photography ones!!! Lol!! :). Keep them coming!
Outstanding ! Nothing left to say besides great score!!
Glad you like it guys - pretty rare piece of Kralik actually - and getting rarer by the day!
Fantastic pics and important piece- handled pieces show a high level of workmanship and care for the art. So many Kraliks fall into mass produced “cased glass” or copy pieces to other manufacturers - in these you have originality, original shape and quality materials - these are top of the Kraliks
