Hi, I have here what my father believes to be the last pictures taken of Amelia Earhart. Any info is appreciated, authenticity and maybe value? heres what he wrote about them.

"The photos are original not copies.they are dated june 2 1937 but should have been june 1 1937.I found them in my grandmothers photos from the 1930s and 1940s. They are about 2 inches by 4 inches. They have some blue writing on the back of the photos that indicate they were taken by a professional photographer that was allowed to get close to them and take photos. These could possible be that last known photos that were ever taken of them before there historic flight were they disappeared and never found.I have searched hundreds of her photos of her online and have never seen these. They should be of historical importance because of her being the first woman to try fly across the globe."

shotout to iggy , whats up man!

Oh wow! That is so very awesome. I bet it is her. There is a very good lady named Dr Laura that knows a great deal on this subject and she gives authentications. Personally, I would not let this out of my hands at all, nor my sight. This could be your pot at the end of the rainbow, no doubt! I suggest you find a local appraiser and take it to them. Then, take it to another if you are not happy with whatever they say. Here's another lil tip, I would not call in advance and send a copy before you go in. Some appraisers have super fast hands, there's a number of dishonest jewelers out there too...sad to say but it's true. Good luck, I think it's a winner... let us know the outcome!

Great photo grouping of historical significance.

Historical significance doesn't always translate to a huge monetary value. So while it does have value, this isn't something your going to retire on.
