Mrstyndall, those one are call "Sash Pin Brooch", you have a wonderful example here, i didn't know the term Sash pin, until i found a few last year, even recently i found a couple online, on there way to Canada.
You probably remember that one, https://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/250076-art-nouveau-sash-pin-brooch-from-the-lat.

Alan, I did not know that it was called a sash pin. Thanks for that info. Your sash pin is lovely too. I hope that 2019 is much better for you and your family.

This is what I posted in my description Eileen, but a picture would show it better:

"a Victorian Sash Pin, or Buckle, used to hold a Lady's Sash, hanging at her Waist, or to hold the Sash in place, to cover Her bosom, made popular by Queen Victoria, from the late 1800's-early1900's"

The Sash was hung on the clip on the Brooch/Pin, at the Lady's waist side, as a Decoration. When the Sash was being used, as a Drape, or Cover across the top of the Lady's open neckline, it was pinned at Her shoulder, to hold it in place! :^)

Here's a Pinterest Post showing Sashes, with Sash Pins, in use on Victorian Ladies:

      I hope this helps! :^)
