I visited our local Antiques Centre today, to have a look at a necklace I saw there before Christmas, but it turned out that it wasn't there (in fact the whole Unit had gone!). However I did spot this lovely Carnival Glass Dish. Of course it didn't have a price on it, but after a phone call, I got it at a reasonable price. The colours are fantastic, though I am not sure what the base colour is, it looks quite orange in some light, but maybe more amethyst in other light! It has an N on the base for Northwood, and it is the Three Fruits pattern with a ruffled edge. Apparently this pattern was first made in 1910, but I think it was made for many years, so I don't know how old this dish is. It is 8.5" across.
Really beautiful, both the fruit design and carnival glass colors
Very nice AdeleC, I keep looking at one at the Flea Market, but I have a few like this Northwood Dish, so maybe I'll wait a little! :^D Thanks for showing yours! :^)
