Usually, I don't buy gold jewelry because it is pricey, I prefer bigger, sterling or costume pieces, and when I do wear gold, I break it because I am a bit clumsy.

I made an exception here: This is a rather large necklace is the brutalist style. I would date the pendant to around 1970's.

The necklace came with a 10k, 26 inches golden chain. The pendant, including the bail, measures 2 and 1/4 inches and is marked 10k and SIFFARI. It is my understanding that the company was founded in 1941. It is a Canadian company and is still in operation, however, under the name Crescendo.

The chain and the pendant are in perfect condition.

    Thanks for looking:)

Very nice Pendant and Necklace freiheit! :^D Opal is the October Birth Stone, and one that I enjoyed using in Jewelry because as it is polished the beauty of the stone is found, and sometimes lost! :^O Thanks for showing! :^)

      Just beautiful! Great opals too.

And Bill, are you saying you used to make jewelry??? Cut stones or tumbled them?
    3. billretirecoll billretirecoll, 6 years ago
Well . . . yes! I made a few Rings, Brooches, and Pendants, with lost wax casts that I made, and added Stones that I cut and polished, then set into them. That was back in the 70's though, in my Arts and Crafts days, then I had to get a real job, kind of still Artwork, just in a larger form, called Construction! :^D I would've loved to keep making Jewelry, and Pottery, but Living was more important! We do what we have to do, until we retire, then, only what we want to do! :^)

Thanks so much for your kind comment, billretirecoll! One of my daughters' birthday is in October. Although not on purpose, but still with her in mind, I purchased this necklace. One day I will give it to her but first she must get a bit more organized and responsible (if this ever happens, LOL).
