I found blue and white saucer this morning at a car boot sale, which I think is a Georgian saucer from the late 1700's early 1800's. It is very deep, and has no indent for a cup, which is a sign of early saucers. I think it has been made in China and then imported and gilded in the UK, like my cup and saucer in the 2nd photo. Chinese porcelain tended to have a bluish tinge to it. The third picture shows some more of my early blue and white cups and saucers. A couple are marked but the rest have no markings, though most are English (tend to be whiter porcelain). The last picture shows 2 of the marked cups and saucers. The front cup is Grainger & Co, Worcester, the back right is SPODE, and the other cup has no marks but is a London shape cup which dates to around 1812. This buy has made me have another look at my blue and white cups anyway!

      Hi,

Cars park in lines, most probably, in a field. It's a bit like a garage sale but some things are in the boot of a car that has its' boot open. More items are assembled on the ground in front of the car.
    6. Gillian, 6 years ago
sorry - on the ground at the back of the car, where the boot is.

That is a car boot sale, but in the UK in the winter, they are more like indoor table top sales! Though it’s still called a Car Boot Sale for some reason.

The boot is the trunk in the US!
