Luck for sure was on this soldiers side when a bullet entered the right side of his M1 helmet and traveled between the liner and the helmet.
When the bullet started to drop off around the helmet it blew out of the left side leaving a ghastly show of strength and Power leaving a statement of what a bullet would do to your skull.

This hung on the vets garage wall for years and was this soldiers saving grace.

It’s never been messed with since it was hit in theatre and sent back.

A true relic and combat veteran of the bloody Vietnam war.

It is featured In the book “battle damage” front and centre page
