This is a lovely vintage ring with a blue glass cabochon. I believe the ring might date back to the 1920's or 1930's.
The ring is marked"Sterling".
I love the star you can see when you put the ring in the light.
Thanks for looking:)
lol My first girl friend gave me a star opal that shine with a star like your ..its in the woods after I wing it there after we split ....silly huh....smiling nice ring...
I am glad it brought back some memories - of the ring, that is. You should have kept the ring, maybe. My boyfriends never gave me anything, so there was nothing to throw in woods and nothing much to remember LOL
LOL your response had me rolling on the floor...night
The stone in your ring is a "Star Saphire". I think you should look it up!
Gorgeous star sapphire & beautiful silver setting
Roycroftbooksfromme1, I am glad I made you laugh:) Funny, though, it was the truth:)
Gillian and Newfld, thanks so much for your comments. I will have a look into your lead. To be honest, I have a "nose" for silver. 9 out of 10 times I can tell just by looking at or smelling it if a piece is silver, and I only look for a mark to confirm it. When it comes to stones, though, I am completely lost. I cannot tell one stone from another:(
I have several star saphires given to me which I kept for the memories, this is a nice one !~
Thanks for your comment, PhilDMorris. I never had a ring like this before. If someone would give me one, I would keep it for the memories, too:)
Thanks so much for loving my ring,

I hope you looked this up. They are correct in saying Star Sapphire. It's a beauty!
