Loetz Gelbgrün Ausführung 36 Vase, PN II-5003, Eduard Prochaska design, ca. 1907

The designs of Loetz managing director Eduard Proschaska typically involve glass windings of some sort, from serpents, to webbed patterns to pieces like this one in a woven pattern - silver yellow horizontal wavy threads of glass pass over and under vertical applied silver yellow ribs, capped off with a matching applied silver yellow rim. A lot of precision and skill went into making these, something that you can really appreciate when you hold it in your hands. These commonly have the yellow-green ground shown here, but they can also occasionally be found with a candia (colorless) ground. About 5.25" tall, ground and polished pontil.
