This lovely jade pendant is a mystery. I do not know if it is a dog or lion or whatever. Also, it is an expensive piece of old jade which must have more information as to the type of jade and perhaps time period. Can anyone help me with this. Do I have this posted in the correct section of Collectors Weekly

Only thing I can tell you is you can pick them up in Bangkok all over the place. They sell them to tourists to bring home as gifts or keepsakes.

      Welcome to CW!
The carving atop the pendant is a Foo Dog, but it could also be a Tiger. Very difficult to tell isn't it?
Need to find out about the jade.
You're absolutely are in the correct section.

So is the Jade possibly Qing dynasty Nephrite?
It is an old piece probably purchased in the 70's

I bought mine in 1968 and it was actually Jade but not old. They mass produce these for the tourist trade.
