Wrapping up the trio of Matchbox military vehicles I bought. This is the Ferret Scout Car which was one of the last of the military vehicles to survive as it made it through 1966.
As for the actual vehicle which is also known as the Ferret Armored Car issued in 1947. It had an open top although some versions had a turret with a .30 caliber machine gun. Not the largest or best armored vehicle but it beats walking.
Now for this model it has one crew member showing. I would assume this is the vehicle commander. The other exciting feature is that it has a spare tire.
In the last photo the undersides of all three vehicles can be seen. Thus bring to an end multiple Military Matchbox Monday although others may feel free to post their matchbox vehicles.

I'm glad you posted some Matchbox military stuff. I loved the military Dinky's(ies?) Lata just shared and it made me wonder about Matchbox, Corgi etc. had to offer. Did Matchbox have any US Army items during this era? I know they began to offer more American manufacturered items later on as their popularity grew over here. I love military toys in general, the accurate small diecasts have always appealed to me. Did Dinkys and Matchbox have roughly the same size, I know you have said it was a same size thing not a same scale thing necessarily. A diecast military day would be cool as a regular or semi regular post would be great. The alliteration use for Monday is growing, how a "Weaponized Wednesday" to spread the joy through the week? I'd like to see other non diecast military also, such as your Marx and Auburn items also. There was a lot of playsets, vehicles, soldiers. etc. during my childhood. Lots of cool shows too, "Combat" was my fave.

Thank you very much clockerman. Yes it is a fine weapon.

Thank you very much Toyrebel. Matchbox made the US M3 Halftrack and that was it I think. Not sure about the size of Dinkys. I think they did the King Size scale and the smaller scale but I am not sure. Wednesdays were Hot Wheels Wednesdays and there is Taxidermy Tuesday but I have had a lot of items to share so those have been on hold. I have posted all the auburns but I could do a group photo. The Marx vehicles could get their own posts. I got another farm set that came with tons and tons of stuff. You may like my Rocco Mini-Tanks. They are HO scale and are made of poly styrene plastic which allows for much sharper detail. I have a huge amount of those. They are mostly 197s.

I had a few Roccos I got in a set as a kid. I'd forgot about them. Nice detail, seems like one if mine was a twin forty like the Duster.
