As with modern collectibles this one is an exclusive! Regardless of that is a great model. While everyone else was busy making muscle car models Greenlight makes trailers, campers, muscle cars and campers. This is a 1:64 scale model for those of you at home keeping track.
The truck is a long bed Dodge D100 truck of 1965 vintage. The camper a Winnebago. As far as campers go I think that was about as big as they got as the next step would be a motorhome which I don't think existed at that point or a trailer. They look big until you put 4 people inside. Aside from sleeping in the cab another good idea is to have a small tent. It's like having your own room.
Fantastic Winnebago looks so real
Nice colours. Looks a good size for one person. I would not want to fit a family of four in there for a week.
What a great piece! I remember these truck and campers, so different to the huge motorhomes that are on the road these days.
Thank you very much Newfld.
Thank you very much elanski. It gets pretty small with 4 people.
Thank you very much courtenayantiques. This would be a large camper would seem small compared to the motorhomes.
This Greenlight stuff gets more impressive each time. Colors get 5 stars again. Before I read your post, I noticed the camper size. That's a biggie for sure. You are quite correct about the close quarters, they're made for staying weekends not weeks.
Thank you very much Toyrebel. Yes the color is great on this one. It beats camping with a tent with 4 people in it. That one I know.
