I saved these two for last so I could get my soap box out. The SMALL vase in the first picture is broken. It is there to fill a spot until it can be replaced. The LARGE vase NOT in the second picture couldn't even be taped/glued together.
Packaging is the bane of every collector who buys through the mail. I recently received a package. The vase was 4" tall. The outside measurement of the box was 4 3/4". That allows less than 3/8 of an inch for packaging on the top and on the bottom. Of course they used that tremendous cushioning product NEWSPAPER! In speaking with the person, he honestly believed he had done a goood job of packaging.
Another seller (ebay) wrapped an 8" vase in eight plastic grocery bags. They then placed that in a 12" long box with no cushioning. Incredibly, it made it!
Still another put 27 plastic grocery bags AROUND an item (didn't wrap it or anything) and shipped it off ! ! !
OK, OK, I'm putting the soap box away. "Don't taser me, Bro!"
i love the design of the first two vases, they are very interesting! the color reminds me of the 1960's. thanks for sharing!
