Well, since we're posting Mercedes pics, I thought I'd add my "ride" to the board. I ran across this car by chance when I was looking for a new vehicle, and when I later researched it, I found it to be a rare model. It's a 2000 Mercedes SLK Kompressor. It had about 32,000 original miles on it when I bought it a couple of years ago. The VIN number shows that it was a showroom model car in CA when it first arrived in the US. Apparently, only about 30 or so cars in this color combination where shipped to the US in 2000. I only know of a handful that have survived over the years. The copper color is very rare, especially with the "Designo" charcoal/black and basketball orange, napa leather interior color combo. It looks stylish with either the hard top up as a coupe or as a convertible. The mechanism that puts the hard top into the trunk is pretty cool to watch when it's put into convertible mode. It must have been a garage kept show car for a while. The condition is immaculate, and all of the original bells and whistles were in the car when I bought it, including the original wind screen. Only the radio was updated to a current model. Anyway, it's a great ride and drives fast with the Kompressor engine. Another vintage find, but not quite an "antique" yet. I love this car.
