Just picked up the Marx 6050 Farm Set last week. It came with a ton of accessories so we might as well get started.
This set came with a fine truck and a pair of tractors with various attachments and trailers. The green truck looks like a Ford to me of mid 1960s vintage as is this set. Not super detailed but quite stylish. The set came with a red tractor and a green tractor which have aged nicely. There is a shovel and bulldozer blade along with 5 plow type trailers.
Other pieces to follow include several farm hands, a large herd of animals, barn, silo and a few other pieces.
Super farm vehicles fort, makes you feel like getting an early start on the laborious field work
Farm playsets were my favorite next to war stuff. My father grew up on a farm and we would visit relatives that lived on them. I guess it's just in the family blood to like this. Marx is playset king hand's down. I remember looking at their big farm playsets in the Wishbooks, they were packed with acres of stuff. I only had had a small one, but I loved it. I can imagine how cool the mega farms would be. Looks like a Ford pickup to me also, I'd say '60-'62 due to the quad headlights. I look forward to touring the rest of your new spread Farmer Brian. If you need farm hands, I know several manure spreaders.
Thank you very much Newfld. Luckily I have field hands to help.
Thank you very much Thomas. You may need a few hundred of these.
Thank you very much Toyrebel. The biggest one had the 3 story barn and I think two silos and the conveyor for to fill the silo with little plastic ears of corn. And it had the fancier animals. That is a great set but I really want the Battlefield set.
