Your menagerie is getting bigger, superb !~
Malkey thank you for the fabulous compliment, I think the otter pair is quite endearing also, it's a very good depiction of the real animals who love to flop around in the water (as seen on TV nature shows, love to see the real ones someday our NY zoo has them in their own type habitat)
Thanks Phil, absolutely my menagerie is growing, I'm always glad to find a different type animal like this, your wonderful compliment is super appreciated
Many thanks all for loving this pair

I think Lutra Lutra is actually their Latin name too? I remember seeing these creatures in Dublin Zoo once, they were so playful! There's also a film from my childhood called 'Ring of Bright Water' where a man adopts an otter called 'Mij' and goes to live in the Scottish Highlands, it's based on a book of the same name I think? These are a lovely brown colour which is perfect for them and makes them appear so sleek.
love this very much!!!
Thank you Lauren, I'm sure you are right about the word lutra lutra, as this is a Swedish piece I only googled "Swedish word for otters" and that came up, thanks for expanding on it 4 me! I have heard of the film Ring of Bright Water and now you've sparked my interest, would love to see it & will look for it on dvd, I remember it was a very popular movie. The brown glass is very nice & realistic here I agree, they are such sleek animals always in water, think the shut eyes & baby are a sweet design. Appreciate your wonderful words
Sean I am so thrilled you like this piece, your Scandinavian glass collection is par excellence & I thank you so much for the super compliment
Grateful for the love all, greatly appreciated
