I recently acquired this old saw as l have never seen one with a handle like this before.
The only markings l can find are the letters JC on both sides of the handle, it’s 3 foot long can anyone help.

    Thanks

Used to prune trees. I have a slightly smaller version and as old as it is it does a fine job. I use mine on my orange trees.

Could be a saw to cut boards from a log the person would stand above or on the log while sawing downward. They would continue to saw until the board would be finished then start the process over for the next board.
