    Old, possible Excelsior Trunk with cool wide metal banding with plus shaped ornaments. I do not know much about it other than it looks pretty unique. I have not seen any images online with the odd plus sign shaped ornaments that run across top of unit and which are on the front of unit. The trunk is 32” long and 23” high by about 19” deep with rollers.

      Canvas covered flat top, very common style made late 1880's through 1890's into the 1900's, by hundreds of trunk makers at the time, without a makers label almost impossible to say who made it, greendog.

      Yes nice standard flat top... but I agree the cast iron design on the top is unusual and not seen very often placed this way.
