This vibrant red vase was made by Josef Riedel, c.1900. It is 5.75“ (14.6cm) tall, quite heavy for its size, and has a finely ground round pontil. There is very little, if any, wear to the gilt, which combines foliate and successionist designs. I have several red Riedel vases, square and trapezoidal, and it was nice to be able to add a rounded form to my collection.
Beautiful, Michelle!

Beautiful piece. I think it's "Granat" around 1905.
