Gudrun grinder/mill

Hi, does anyone know what this grinder/mill was used for and perhaps the date it was manufactured? The only identification I can find is the name Gudrun on the front. It has a clamp for mounting to a table top, so I am assuming it was meant for kitchen use, but seems to coarse for flour.
