I thought it was fun to finally see the Turkeys back again(they almost look like Vultures), the big storm coming brought them in, from foraging in the hills in the area. It's been about 3 months since we've seen them in our housing tract, and now we'll soon be seeing the Hens with their Chicks, in the neighborhood! These Turkeys were on our backyard Neighbor's Homes roofs, and the Big White Dog in Wonderment, we call Fluffy, not his real name, but what "He comes to" when we call him, my Wife kind adopted him, through the backyard fence, after we lost our Rex Dog! Shhh… She bakes Him special Dog Cookies, and treats him! :^D
Thank you for looking, all comments are welcome!
Great pix Bill, love the wild turkeys and what a gorgeous dog!
Thanks Jenni, it's always nice to see wildlife in the area, as long as it's not driving a car! :^D Fluffy is about 2yrs. old now, he was a very cute little puppy when we first saw him at the back fence, he grew, and grew, and now stands over 6' when paws are up against the fence, wanting his chest and back scratched! :^)
SEAN68, AnythingObscure, and Jenni, thanks so much for the love! :^)
Toyrebel, good to see ya, and hunterqlee nice to see you again! :^D Thanks to you both for the love! :^)
Akrodog took me to the family hunting cabin while I was in KY. Woke up hearing turkeys around where we had eaten the nite before. Not sure I had heard wild turkeys before and it's another nice memory.
Those are big birds. I figure they should be around here in a few years.
Thomas, and I thought you were in cow kissing country. LOL !
bb2, thanks for your 1st comment, it was at times that I would hear things after drinking Wild Turkey! &x^\ Oh, but that was a different story! :^D
Yeah Brian they are big, and look funny trying to perch in some of the spring growth in the trees, a little like falling through it until a branch will hold them, then others will join, until it can't hold anymore! :^D
Living more out in the wilderness, like where you live Thomas, I would expect hunting them, but the only hunting around here is Duck, or Geese, in the Marshes across the River, we hear the shotguns in the early morning, but there's two Shooting Ranges, with in ear shot, on this side of the River, so almost like a war zone, during Hunting Season! We get Coyotes in the area also, but not so many, normally just a Female with her Pups, yipping on the hills. :^D
I don't know about Cow kissing bb2, but there are a lot of them up on the hills eating the grass! :^D
Thanks to you all for taking a look, and giving some love for what you saw,
Brian

Broochman, Purvis, and TheGateKeeper too, much appreciated! :^)
bb2 was here, and I know he loves a little Wild Turkey, or was that a Goose! :^D
Actually Bill, I quit hard stuff about 1990. On requests from friends. LOL. A friend was shot during turkey season. If you look like a turkey, stay out of the woods during season.
Yeah bb2, when you get requests like that, it may be a good time to listen to your friends, and you did! :^D
Thanks my #1 Mary, one of these days I'm going to get down there to see them, and you too! My Son's In-laws live in San Diego, and I told them I'd try to visit them too. So keep an eye out for me! :^D
Thank you all for giving some love for these Turkeys, and Fluffy too,

"Turkey one to Turkey two, do you read me Turkey two ?
My "nanny" was a half Cherokee Creek, and told me that most tribes considered turkeys as carrion feeders & wouldn't eat them. She commented that the "Indians" probably gave them to the Pilgrims wondering if the were so hungry that they would eat those buzzards. LOL !! Of course, lobsters & crabs are carrion feeders too.
Turkey two to Turkey one, loud and clear! It's raining here! What do we do? Standing by, Turkey two over and out . . . in the storm . . . ?
Thanks for your comments bb2, always good to see um! :^)
