Dragon makes high quality models and high quality figures. They tend to be pricey but I can pick up a figure for a good price now and then.
This one is "Edward" from what it says in the title. Without looking all that up Edward probably rode in half track. Doesn't have a back pack. He is well armed for a private. The Thompson submachine gun would cost $10,000 in today's money plus he has a colt 1911A1 pistol. Generally a pistol would be for somewhere with a crew served weapon, radio operator or such. That and an officer. He does have an E-tool for digging a foxhole or slit trench. Also he has a camo uniform which is unusual for US WWII troops.
The accessories are all well detailed. There are detachable magazines all detach from both the pistol and submachine gun and other fine details.
Matchbox Monday is coming next!
PS figure is 200s/current.
Dragon has always impressed me with accuracy and detail. I like the leggings on the boots. I've got a Remington 1911 R1s, the 1911 has been my favorite pistol since childhood. I'd like to get a vintage Colt issue eventually, but that Colt name gets a premium. The Thompson is still the coolest looking sub machine gun in history, you can't be a WW II movie sergeant or original gangster(drum magazines need only apply) without one. Some versions can triple that 10 grand you mentioned, highly desirable weapon. Love 1/6 stuff, thanks for sharing.
Thank you very much Toyrebel. I have a Springfield 1911A1 which has served me well. Yes the sergeant has a Thompson and the LT has an M1 carbine. Rat Patrol al had Thompsons that rarely needed reloading. I don't know if they ever needed spare magazines like this guy has.
Thank you very much Brunswick. Apparently he likes his box.
