Harrods Catalogue 1929

Delighted to gave found this origional Harrods catalogue fom the late 20's. The range of luxury goods and services is really amazing. There are 840 pages including index. There was a department for almost everything you could need, if you could afford it!!. For patrons use there was a post and telegraph office, railway ticket and theatre ticket office, income tax department, banking facilities and restaurants. They state that "If for any reason it was inconvenient to attend the store, you could make a telephone order any time of the day or night, and their order Clerks would deal promptly and accurately wih your order". I suppose the internet is providing a similar service now , although usually without the same courtesy .
