This might help. The name is VOBS or VODS. The arrow through the middle makes it unclear if it is a B or a D. Also, I do not believe the handles are original because they do not fit flush.
Are these not poultry shears ? Yes, the handles seem a bit odd.
Welcome to CW!!! The answer is here!!! Somewhere!!!
The name is Voos. & yes, they are poultry shears. They were part of a boxed carving set with a carving knife, steel, & fork. The handle tangs are simply pressed into holes bored into the stag pieces. Since there are no cross-pins or butt caps to hold them securely, over the years they start to work their way off. It's not uncommon.
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR COMMENTS ESPECIALLY UNCLERON
THE HANDLES ARE VERY LOOSE
I THOUGHT THEY WERE GARDEN SHEERS
