Cathedral Radio Console Hand-Carved Cabinet (Only)- Scott McMurdo Silver

This is an ultra-rare and extraordinary custom "cathedral" console cabinet. These custom cabinets were custom built and delicately hand carved to meet the extravagant tastes of their wealthy clientele. We believe this cabinet was made by the the Independent Radio Co, NYC. c. 1929-31.
Custom cabinets such as this one were built for clients that installed their own chassis and speaker, primarily Scott and McMurdo Silver.
The cabinet is all original and has its original finish. The hand carved motif is Roman musicians, lake and village scene on the doors. It shows typical signs of age for an 87-year old cabinet.
