This is the rare 10 inch version of this mold which was made in the 1920s. A friend found it while cleaning out an old house and sold it to me. i found the following on Worthpoint [although i don't have a subscription, so i don't know what they value it at]. Doesn't CW have a category of Chocolate Molds?
'A rare opportunity to own a desirable 1920's Statue Of Liberty Candy Mold. ? What makes this even rarer, is the fact that this is the large 10" version. ? These Dresden made molds are attributed to Anton Reiche. ? Barely legible is the stamp of T.C. Weygandt & Co. New York, the agent for the artist. ? There are 2 small rust spots on the inside of the mold (shown), and one on Lady Liberty's left shoulder. ? A mold like this was valued at $5000 by Building Collector Magazine in 2008. ? They described finding one of these molds as "a dream". ? This is being offered at NO RESERVE at a nominal starting price. ? Shipping price includes insurance (U.S. only).'
