    This spoon manufactured by R.I.A. in 1913 for the U.S. Army was hand stamped 3rd ILL Co G. Faintly on both the front and back you can see the name Roy scratched in. I do not know what the 25 stamped on the front of the spoon is for. The 3rd Illinois Co. G became the 129th Illinois Infantry Regiment at the start of WW1. The 3rd Illinois Infantry served on the US-Mexico border just prior to WW1. The abbreviation R.I.A. is for Rock Island Arsenal.
