I found this the other day. I see a lot of old monk carvings in California, but this one is from Mexico and from the 20s-40s. There's a label on the base which says 'Casa.....?' and 'Hecho en Mexico'.

If it's from Mexico, and I see that yes it is, then it's a 'Padre" instead of a Monk. I made the same mistake when I had a couple. He's made very well and looks great!
