Latest addition to my engraved memento collection is this Victorian beauty, a rose gold horseshoe brooch with F. A. Bouchard and Good Luck engraved on it. That means you have to wear it upside down (the horseshoe is supposed to be worn end up so the luck doesn't run out ;) )
But I don't mind, and I don't think FA Bouchard did either. Its pretty big too, at 2 inches tall.
The unsolved mystery is this: Ive been trying to add my posts to my collections but they will not move over...anyone else having this problem?
That's a Kick A-- brooch!!! ENJOY
thanks so much!
Hi folks:
Collections has been broken for a while; sorry about that. It's on the list of things to fix. Tx for your patience!
Ben
Good luck! And a large one, and with a name!
Lucky find :-D
For the collections non working, me too, and I'm glad Ben said it was on the list "to fix".
We just got back the notifications by E-mail, I hope this other worrying problem will be fixed soon :-D
Good to know they are just down but not out. Also good to know its not just me!
So I originally thought the brooch would be silver, probably from Birmingham from the photos. When it came thought must be low karat gold....But a quick acid test (gentle and nondamaging of course) is suggesting 14kt gold. Keeping my fingers crossed!
