Hello everyone, I am a novice glass collector, so these Asian Antiques are a mystery to me. They are my parents who received them from a great aunt, who travelled to the Orient in the early 1900s. I would say before 1914. I have seen one item similar years ago, but nothing since. I do not know what the metal clad armor is. The cabochons are unkown, dime missing some maybe dirty/discolored. There is a snuff spoon in each. I do not know the name or type of tree/plant shown with round fan like flowers,? There are some tiny markings, different on both. One definitely says China, the other definitely says Chin without any attempt for and "A" I looked at these with a jeweler's loop. The bases are hand carved, maybe cherry wood. Any ideas or expertise would be appreciated. My parents are 88 and 86, I'd love to give them an accurate description and time frame. Many Thanks! Karen
