Hi this is my firstborn time posting on collectors weekly, I wasnted to share this in the hope of learning more about this cameo or those similar.
I was honoured to be gifted this cameo which once’s belonged to my Grandma. I received it bare and have recently had a jeweller make it into a necklace, I’m thrilled with the outcome and will wear it daily.
Any insight into the signature on the back or cameo itself would be much appreciated.

The cameo is cut in helmet shell. These pretty ladies adorned with flowers are an art nouveau look that stayed popular into the 1930s, but of course could be replicated any time later. The dates of your grandmother's life will give you some clue, as it was probably new when she acquired it. It would have been made in Italy, & the acid etched name on the back is most likely an Italian one. I regret that I cannot make it out. My first impression was that it could be Donadio, but on further inspection, not. These have a maddening way of appearing legible, until you really buckle down & try to read them.
