After seeing one of these 3 D Dino's in a collection in Tenn a few years ago I knew that we needed one in the Lakeside Storage Museum. After years of hunting and travels I finally got my wish and we stood this up where the SOC sign had previously been located. The sign came from Iowa and the Dino from Texas. The Dino is 9' long. I love it! Come take a drive by. It's all Free.
The signs look great, But the truck looks out of place ,.. you should let me take it home where it wouldn't look so out of place ...smiling
Sinnomore,
Got that truck from a widow lady not far from here and think it still runs. I have the visor for the front I still need to put back on it. Very cute old truck. It has Elvis and Marilyn statues on the bed but u can't see them in this pix.
Looks to be in good shape for its age .. I just have a thing for old Iron .. My last truck was a 55 4x4 I built ... The one sitting there would look right with a Napco set up ..is that oil or gas pipes in the back ground...Dino is looking in great shape..Stay warm on that Rock ...smiling
Sinnomore,
That's the main high pressure gas line for the whole County that passes under our property. The truck I have is a 49 or 50, I can't remember. 1 ton with short bed & dual wheels
Oh my,, you must make the gas Crew boys whistles when going by, seeing you digging next to them ...lol Ya I would swap out the front axle for a one ton Napco axle pop in a Napco transfer case.. hunt down a tow rear with hook .. there I spent all your money,.. that was easy ....lol later ,,enjoy the night..
Sinnomore,
Interesting observation. Yes I have been looking for an old tow truck for our display and one day I'll have one. For now I like the flatbed on the Chevy with Elvis and Marilyn performing on the back.
