I found this delightful item about two years ago and have had little luck finding answers or something similar. She is 5 inches tall and weighs about 1 pound. The material seems to be stone, I even thought possibly coral. Is she a sea witch? A mer-monkey? She kind of looks like a monkey. Inuit? Any thoughts or clues are appreciated.

Looks like a contemporary, artistic interpretation of a mermaid.

Thanks, Golgatha. My thought was older. Do you know any stone-like material with the brown splotches like that?
    3. ho2cultcha ho2cultcha, 6 years ago
      it might be carved limestone.

      I agree with ho2cultcha.

I've never seen limestone with the brown splotches in it like that. (We have lots of limestone here in central Texas.) It seems harder than limestone.
