Purchased in 1974 while in college in Platteville, WI. at a yard sale. Hand chipped scalloped edges. I’m counting on all of you fascinating CW Show&Tell veterans! Thank you!

Its wonderful -- esp. its 'chipped beveled' edge?!! :-) :-) :-)

I wish I could tell 'ya something about it. Many old mirrors I've seen actually do have a date/maker's name stamped on the backside of the glass, but of course viewing it (if it's even there?) also requires being able to dis-resemble it enough to actually *look at* the backside of the glass, which in this case doesn't look like it'd be a terribly easy thing to do without potentially hurting the whole thing... :-(

I have one just like this. Mine has a date on the bottom edge/frame where the handle is. Yours might as well. I cannot make out the last digit in the year on mibe as it is worn but it reads PAT’D May 7 190
