Found this telephone at an estate sale. It was made by Long Distance Telephone, South Bend. The mouth piece is glass, which I can't seem to find anywhere else. It has a patent for the Kellogg Co, Chicago, IL dated Nov.26, 1901, #316622-L. The internal works seem to be complete, cleaned up very nice. Curious if any more are out there.

Your wall phone was manufactured around 1910, not sure about this glass mouth piece on the phone. does it have treads to screw in or is it glued in?
    4. t-hunter, 6 years ago
It appears to be glued in. Thanks for the information.

Most of the glass mouth pieces had metal adapter to screw into the transmitter.
