This weekend I went to pick up a vertical sign (next post) and ended up also making a deal for this 30" thermometer. The back is white.
For some reason I thought it was from the mid '70's, but according to the book, it is late '50's. This is my first large bottle thermometer.

Nice, that's the earlier version. The later one was made in Mexico with a red back.
