Just picked up a new merit badge sash. This one has the type H merit badges which have a plastic backing. I was looking up the merit badges and have it between 1972-2002 so he would most likely have the brown shirt. A couple of the interesting ones are railroading and raising rabbits.
Next is either G or H type. G types were 1961-1971. The G types have no plastic backing. I suspect from the examples I have seen that these are G types. The ones with puppies look interesting.
Wrapping it up is a sash covered with Type E merit badges. These were used from 1947-1960.
This wraps up another exciting edition of the Saturday Evening Scout Post.
Cool badge sashes, very interesting merit awards - what would the ringed planet (Saturn?) signify
Neat badges, I remember the "G" type during my era. I remember some of them, First Aid, Canoing, etc. were pretty common. The pups are interesting along with the other rarer ones.
Thank you very much Newfld. That is an Astronomy badge type G as I thought.
Thank you very much Toyrebel. It may take me a bit to find out what they all are but should be interesting.
