      The spiral cuts out of the wood, would weaken it. Wouldn't make much sense. I've never seen ramrods made this way. That's 64 yrs of collecting antique GUNS. How long is this ?

      I agree with Blunder, plus there are no signs of wear and there should be. This item appears to be Bolivian Rosewood which was not and would never be used as a ramrod. Doesn't matter how long it is or the diameter, it was never used as a ramrod. If it was sold as such then it is a display piece.
