My dad picked this up in early 70's. Not sure what year it is. Have not been able to find it anywhere, hoping someone knows.

      I’m sure it’s a 1952 Model 27A VMC vending machine.

I remember these being in gas stations back in the 50's and 60's. Where I grew up gas stations were the only places with a vending machine and they cost ten cents but you got 2 cents back for the empty bottle and two cents would buy you four pieces of candy.

I have the same machine and have been looking, this is the first one I’ve seen, I can’t find anything out about it either

IF this machine has the original compressor in it, the first 3 characters (2 numbers and a letter) of the number on the top of the compressor will get you close to the date this machine was manufacturered. These machines were most likely built with a tecumseh compressor deck. These machines were produced from 1950 (1 year only) with evaporator lines in shelf below vending deck AND 1951/1st qtr 52 (discontinued in March 1952) where the evaporator coil was in a round can on right side of compartment between condeser (bottom floor) and vending carousel (third floor) but were discontinued in March 1952 because the VMC-33 came on line. I think someone repainted one you have due to lack of decals.
