This story really starts a week and a half ago or so when I found my latest 'electrissical light-up blinkiebox-toy' at Goodwill -- a ca. 2002 Japanese PACHISLO style slot machine. ;-)

    https://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/262600-club-rodeo-slot-machine?in=user

And though it's appeared 'from the finding' the machine is complete and in working condition -- I haven't really been able to TEST that theory fully since the one thing it didn't come with was more than a small handful of the **TOKENS** its player needs to kinda continually feed into it, in order to keep its reels spinning, lights blinking, sounds/music playing, and (presumably, eventually?) some kind of jackpot where it goes half-crazy and starts cranking all those tokens back out at me...?? ;-)

Anyways, that situation is resolved as of today when a nice little package arrived in my mailbox containing several hundred more assorted 'authentic pachislo tokens' sourced from the same folks who apparently imported/retrofitted this machine to the USA in the first place, who were happy to help with them (+ other good info/advice) once I contacted them. :-) :-) :-) Now I've got *plenty* to keep the hopper inside the machine full as well as 'my cup' on the outside -- with the extra-added benefit that, should 'my cup' get empty, all I've gotta do is open the door and scoop out a couple handfuls to keep right on going...?? <LOL>

BUT before I started dumping them all into the machine [being "a collector" and all...?] OF COURSE I first had to SORT THRU all 500pcs or so, to find out how many *different* ones there were...the answer to that question is **21**, and here they are. The close eyed observer will note that there are actually 23pcs in these pics, (+ a USA quarter coin for size comparison, the quarter is a teeny bit smaller diameter) as there were two additional token designs amongst the very few I recovered while first cleaning out the machine that are also included here.

Front and back sides of them all are shown, with and without camera flash. The quarter is at the top left corner, immediately under and beside it are the two (one more 'goldtone' and the other more 'coppertone') that I found in the machine after bringing it home, they are likely both 'home market' examples that haven't seen commercial service. All the rest (are the 'new' ones and) appear to be made of brass, with assorted designations. The three RH patterns in the top row represent the vast majority of the whole lot rec'd today, none the other examples are present in quantities of more than just a few pieces.

Now, I think I need to go back to playing with my new toy instead of staring at this computer screen...? ;-) ;-) ;-)

THANKS keramikos -- all that info is indeed a perfectly concise explanation of "what my machine is" [and thus what these tokens are "for"...] and in fact, that manual is the same exact document I found online and used to revive it -- I don't have any idea who first assembled that, but they used a machine just like mine (with a sidemounted pull lever added) for lots of their pics!! ;-)

For the record, I've never been one drawn to the idea of "gambling" myself either but have always liked slot machines anyway because -- simply -- they tend to be *fabulously fun* mechanical contraptions too, just like pinball machines and jukeboxes and all other manner of 'things people plug coins into for something'. OHOT, I've also got a sister-in-law (or three) who might suddenly love/envy/wanna visit me just a little more frequently once they discover I have it...?? <LOL>

      THANKS also to jsccott0363, vetraio50, fortapache, Brunswick, keramikos, and Ilikethings for the <love it>s!!! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
