    Late 1800s tintype that I found the other day of a man leaning on something peeling and old looking. What is it? Who is he? Back side is hand engraved "Fred stevens". I picked it out because it looked unusual. Thank you,!

      Probably 1880- 90s based on the back drop and it being a loose tintype.

      Looks like the photographer needed to do some maintenance on his studio props!

      Thanks scottvez! It was the first tintype I had bought and I like it because It's interesting and unusual. I agree though with the choice of props. I wasn't sure what he was leaning on at first.
