    I'm wondering what this was used for. I thought it was older than 1990 because of the way the plastic is - which is thick and almost like bakelite and was surprised to find it dated 1990. regardless, it's pretty cool.

    the mystery for me is what category?!

      It was for holding a TV remote and a VCR remote on your Coffee or End Table, Pete. I got one when they first came out, to keep from losing the remotes in the Couch! :^)

      When the ladies come home at night and take off their jewellery this is where the Rings are kept. They are Ring Stands.
