My latest favorite lamp project: a beautiful Loetz shade set on an art nouveau brass base. It depicts a heron in cattails. Each corner of the lamp base has a tiny snail in leaves. The shade is a PN II-6277 in decor Gre 6279 . The shade has a silver interior, 5 wide ruffles, a gold papillon outer surface covered with blue and green threads pulled up and down 5 times.
Because of the beautiful golden iridescence, I actually think this shade is prettier when unlit! It coordinates well with the brass of the base. I also like how the shape of the shade echoes the arched leaves and cattails.
As CW only allows 4 pics, I will post more shade close-ups.
Very pretty!
