This vase was yesterday's find - a real bargain.
I just had a feeling it was something good the moment I set eyes on it, & later on, after doing a bit of research, I discovered it was an example of Loetz Olympia Glatt.
It is very pale green with subtle iridescence, & measures 11.5 cm tall, 7 cm across the crimped top rim, & 5 cm across the base, which has a neatly polished out pontil mark.
I have the exact vase myself. Very cute little vase unassuming, but stands out in the case next to its more extravagant shelf mates. It is PN 346/365(Neu 243) made for Max Emanuel & Co London.
Well spotted, they can pass unnoticed! A little treasure......
Beautiful!
Many thanks, jimtim!
Thanks also, sklo42, & yes, some days you can get lucky. I'd had to go into town for an appointment, & took the opportunity to visit a shop I'd had a few previous bargain finds in...
Thank you most kindly, Mrstyndall!
