This cross has 19 old mine cut diamonds with an 18k gold styled frame/setting.
This piece pre-dates 1935 and was owned by a prominent resident of Nashville.
I'm hoping someone might have a few thoughts on the designer of this piece. I'd love to know more.
Thanks!
Beautiful! Love the chain too!
Gorgeous cross, beautiful rhinestones & setting
Without mark, impossible to guess who made it...
It is a wonderful Victorian diamond jewel! The tube hinge and long pin helps to date it, plus the design and the hinged bail :-)
European Victorian gold marks can be so tiny that you wont see it and think it could be a small dent on the surface, with a loupe, you might see something on the cross bail or the gold chain. This is an enchanting piece, thanks for posting.
These are just beautiful, and drool-worthy diamonds, and as Kyra said, this is an older piece.
Oh my, need a fainting couch.
Here's something I do now because my eyesight is not as it used to be (go figure)! But you can run your fingernail over that pin and "feel" for any imprints. It looks to me you may just find something on that pin! I do this on a lot of jewelry pieces nowadays!
