My mom found this in one of my grandpas old sheds and we cannot figure out what it is. Seems to be quite interesting regardless. Curiosity more than anything. If someone could offer any insight we would be most appreciative.
How big is it & is it metal ?
Seems most like cast iron size is approx 5 inches long
funny how it looks like a shoe
appears to have a name on the side, but I can't make it out. Might help us.

Some kind of clamping device that slides down a shaft???? Any farm equipment by Grandpas old sheds???
