A U.S. Naval Training Center, San Diego, Calif. Zippo

    - from between the years Zippo used the script logo on the bottom of every Zippo, this one indicates it's from between 1955-1979.
According to: https://www.zippo.com/pages/date-codes Zippo documentation. Please see picture of the bottom Zippo logo in script form. Not absolutely certain to it's date exactly but can only rest assured that it's between 1955 to 1979 because of the Zippo trademark logo in script or the Z on it's bottom.

Not even sure how much this Zippo could be worth to the right, true Zippo Collectibles collector or Tobacciana Aficionado but I've seen newer, 60's, U.S. Naval Training Center San Diego, Calif., Zippos with asking prices of low to high $$80's., not even sure if they actually brought that but you can only value something to what someone is willing to pay for it. To the right person this Zippo could bring more than you could imagine. Naval retirees and Military enthusiasts alike would love it.

You miss read the Zippo data page. That Z was used from 1955 until 1979. If you go back and look at it you will see what I mean Here is the link for their data codes. 1933 to 54 was in block lettering.

The last Navy zippo with the same zippo marking that sold on eBay went for $19.99 and it was in perfect condition, no dents or dings. If you want to see actual sold items and what they sold for try watch count. Asking price means nothing, it is the sold for price that tells the story.

Thanks a lot fhrjr2, that helps me out alot and now I can take it down from it's high pedestal to somewhere more realistic as to it's date and value. Take care Sir. - Johnathon

Johnathon I will post a link here for you. It will show you nothing but zippo lighters, the asking price, sale price and whether they sold or not. As you will see very few actually sell and even fewer bring big dollars. The site is useful for actual sold prices on anything that has been listed on eBay.
