    Hi

I have this plate by Jean Coulon Jean Coulon (France 1853-1923) - 40cm diameter.

Having researched him I know that he appears to have made either statues or ceramic vases/pots et but cant find an other plate...can anyone else?
In addition it is specifically dated as 13 May 1884 - but I am wondering why he would have dated it, it must mean something special to him? ..all I can find out was that it was a Tuesday!

    regards

    Paul

If there are any Coulon experts out there perhaps you might have an idea..!

Not an expert on Coulon but it's so vibrant and colourful, it reminds me of Persian or Turkish designs often seen on tiles.
