The Bede 5J was said to be the smallest Jet in the world and certainly became famous when James Bond flew one thru a barn in the Movie Octapussy. They fly at a max speed of about 325 mph and fly very well but are a challenge landing I'm told. We like ours on top of the Antique Sinclair Service Station and I doubt I'll be flying it any time soon, but one never knows? The wingspan is about 13'.

So I see by your references u have found some other guys that have bought the kits and built the Bede 5J planes. If u look on Utube u can see then flown and they are really something to watch. Amazing little aircraft. It takes a real pro to land one on the roof of a Service Station! Ha Ha! Maybe it looks like the guy who's wife is telling him "he's not flying that thing"?

I paid $1300 and it was up the road 30 min. Hard to beat that! Priced as an investment and I buy it. Priced retail and I pass.

Re Tanks, I'm not that fussy about which one I get, but would prefer a Stuart light tank if I got to choose and it was free. I'll probably never get a tank as they're all too expensive so far.
    21. Roycroftbooksfromme1, 6 years ago
ya I'm the same, if theirs no meat left on the bone I pass...lol $13oo.oo for a kit stunt jet is pretty cool... and great to send the wife in to the store in ifen you run out of beer and want her to not dilly dally like mine .. ..."-)) later,.. needs a camo paint job..don't ya think..?

Did u forget that I'm spending my 401k on this collection and everything I buy has to be an investment? Only a T34 can be bought cheap and I can't even find one of those cheap enough
