Next project! A nice example of a Martin Maier alternating slat design trunk from the 1880’s. This one has unusual two lock feature. Waited many years for one to show up in my area! Happy Day!

OK Elliot I see you got it on the right channel for me anyway, yeah very nice find, have been looking for one like this myself, I would say late 1880's lid lift patented 1886 if I'm not mistaken, it would have been nice if MM would have used higher quality locks all the time, but still a great find, good job, Brian

Greendog what two stain colours did you use on your MM?
For the dark I used Minwax dark walnut and the light was just clear finish I use over the entire trunk.
